Small businesses that leverage the power of referrals experience strong growth. When you have others suggesting your product or service it’s like having your very own sales team.
Referrals are even more powerful because, like word-of-mouth, the prospect is being encouraged to buy from an existing customer, associate, expert, or influencer. Think about how you can encourage referrals from your customers or other service providers.

Are You Ready?
It’s that time of the year yet again. What time? Black Friday! Yes it is indeed here, every business owners final attempt to make as much money as possible before the new year begins. Some would have you thinking you can’t make money because the economy is such as mess.
Don’t believe it, folks are still going to spend money, just not as much as they did before. Business owners are going to have to be creative when enticing consumers to make a purchases. Consumers will still open their wallets and charge those credit cards, if you give them a good reason to, trust me.
Now I must admit, it will not be easy, cause folks are holding tight. We are all waiting to see what Obama can do to fix this mess. However, I suggest you have faith that your marketing campaign will work for you. Make your offer so compelling that you stand above your competitors. Doing so will allow you to make more money than you thought you could. Good Luck!

I’m sure you have all heard of Twitter by now. Some of you may even be using it. Did you know how valuable a networking and marketing tool Twitter can be for your business? Being on Twitter can create a wealth of new contacts that lead to new customers.
I mainly use Twitter cause it’s simple to use. I find that MySpace, Facebook, and Linkedin require a bit more effort than I care to give to a social media site. I like simple and quick. This allows me to network and also continue to get my work done. After all, I do run a marketing business.
Now some folks like Twitter, some folks don’t. I’ve listened to different opinions from my friends and business associates, that Twitter is a waste of time. I always tell them to try it before they makes assumptions. If you have no time market your product or service via Twitter, contact EastLake Marketing Group
Twitter is now being used by just about everyone from business folks, movies stars, stay at home moms, politicians, ceo’s, and company employees. My first-born signed up when she saw me Tweeting one day. Imagine that a parent telling their child about a growing internet social media web site.
For those of you who still have no idea what Twitter is, here is my description. Twitter is a social media web site that allows you to set up a free account, then begin writing short 140 character blurbs about what you happen to be doing at any particular moment or your day. You can follow other folks and be followed by those folks in return.
Simple huh? Yes it is. The only thing is this, Twitter is very addictive, you will find yourself Tweeting from your desk top, laptop, cell phone, and any other electronic device you have. It’s called Twitter addiction. You have been warned! Don’t forget to follow EastLake Marketing Group! http://twitter.com/EastLakeGroup

How many times have you said you’re going to do something, then not do it? There is no shame in saying something and not doing it. However, in order to succeed in anything you do in life, action is what it takes. You have to be willing to do exactly what you say, each and every time you say it.
I suggest purchasing a journal and making daily entries (tasks) of what you need to do. Write down the task you need to do to, then check it off when you have completed it. If you don’t complete a task or did not do it at all, then make an indication of why you did not, then rewrite that task for the next day. Continue this step until you complete that task. How many times are you going to have to rewrite the task before you actually stop making excuses and get it done?

Marketing, is when you promote your business by doing. Yes that’s right by doing you. You are marketing your business when you answer the phone and conduct yourself in a professional manner. Having a clean office and a nice pleasant receptionist. A store with trained and friendly staff that know how to make a customers shopping experience rewarding.
Writing a blog and sharing expert advice in your field. Direct mail, public speaking, networking, and word-of-mouth, and social media buzz. The list is endless. Marketing also cost less than advertising, most of the time it is done for free. Marketing works in the most fundamental way. Best accomplished by building relationships.
